Session 1

The party was greeted by Collette, her eyes sharp with a glint of cold resolve. As she spoke of the quest pinned to the board, her words carried but one desire: to slay a dragon. Those gathered Koji, Rhela, and her sister Aralyn, exchanged uneasy glances, their hesitation clear. But Collette’s mind was made up. With a voice edged in grief, she revealed the truth: the dragon had taken their parents. Before anyone could speak further, she turned on her heel and stormed away into the biting wind.

Determined to stop her before vengeance claimed her soul, the group began their search for answers in Falcon’s Nest. Yet leads were scarce until a weathered merchant, wrapped in furs and tales, she whispered, of a sword still lodged in its scales—a knight’s blade, gleaming even through blood and frost. And a guard, who saw the dragon fly over the Black Iron Bridge. With that revelation, the party made for Ishgard, hoping the Temple Knights might know more.

Within the city’s stony walls, Aralyn sought out a familiar face—Ser Errix, a knight whose trust she had earned long ago. Over hushed tones and flickering torchlight, she inquired about the swords of the noble houses. Errix’s eyes narrowed in thought before he spoke: the weapon in question bore the sigil of House Haillenarte.

With that knowledge, the party returned to Frostwork. There, in the warm guild hall, they began to plan to find the dragon before Collette’s thirst for vengeance led her down a path she could never return from.

Session 2

The party gathered within the dimly lit Guild Hall, the air thick with tension. Aralyn’s gaze was unwavering — the dragon was still out there, and she meant to find it. But before plans could be set in stone, T.A.G.A. relayed troubling news: Collette was on the move. Without hesitation, the group prepared to pursue her. Lumi volunteered to scout ahead, slipping into the mist that hung low over the valley. The others followed in her wake, tracing footprints and fragments of clues near the old bridge. On the far side, Lumi found her first. She stood alone, her hands empty, her voice trembling but calm as she pleaded for peace. Yet as she spoke, something in her tone — a familiar sharpness — echoed her sister’s words. That echo twisted Collette's heart, fanning the embers of anger that had never truly died. Her machines stirred to life around her, whirring and clicking as if sensing her pain. The battle that followed was brief but fierce. Koji’s blade found the mark on one of the automatons, while Ellie’s sword caught the weight of another’s strike. Chun’s voice cut through the chaos, urging calm, reminding Collette that she still mattered — that she wasn’t alone. For a moment, she hesitated. Then panic overtook her. Aralyn stepped forward, her voice trembling as she sang the song they once shared as children. But before the final note could fall, Collette’s machines pulled her away — vanishing into the haze. Lumi darted after them moments later, determination flashing in her eyes, while the rest of the party stood in the settling quiet, their hearts heavy with what had just unfolded. Where would they go next? None could say — only that the path ahead had grown far more uncertain.

Session 3

The people of Frostwork set out upon a mission of grave importance. To find the dragon that haunted both sky and memory. From the frostbitten ramparts of Falcon’s Nest, the party ventured forth, each guided by their own instincts: some followed faint tracks in the snow, others trusted their sharpened senses. The hunt was long, the wind cruel, yet their resolve never wavered.

At last, they found it.

The dragon emerged from the mouth of its cavern, scales glinting like shards of ice beneath a pale sun. Its roar split the still air, sending the nearby wildlife scattering into the snowdrifts. When its voice finally came, it was not a snarl but a weary demand: “Why do you come here?”

Aralyn stepped forward. calm, unflinching and answered simply. She wished to talk.

The dragon’s great head lowered, suspicion flickering in its ancient eyes. But at length, it relented, landing before the Elezen with a thunderous impact that shook the ground. And then it spoke. Not as a beast, but as a soul burdened by centuries of guilt.

He told them of Nidhogg’s cruel command, of how he had been forced to carry out its will. Of how he had slain Collette’s parents with his own claws... and in doing so, lost his own mate and children. Now he lived in solitude, a penitent creature bound to his grief.

When Aralyn asked to see the weapon embedded in the dragon’s chest, the creature allowed it. The blade bore the sigil of House Haillenarte, as Lisette revealed. A revelation that bound Collette’s fate more tightly to a noble house than anyone had known.

The discovery left the party with a single, pressing task: to speak with Collette once more. But before they could return, Chun caught sight of three Elezen shadows lurking nearby.

They were swiftly captured by Ei and brought back to Frostwork. Now, it falls to Vencel to uncover their purpose... and whether their presence was coincidence, or conspiracy.

Session 4

We gathered into the halls of Frostwork, as we explained our findings from the three that we captured. After some bickering, we could thankfully investigate this cult, or whatever they call themselves.

The remote location had some interesting finds. Lumi and Lisette found a body with a strange pin on them. Koji and Ei found a lot of dragon remains, both old and new. As Vaia, Chun and Erka found, with a lot of shenanigans, discarded weapons.

After we all got together and shared our findings, we found that Rhela and Aralyn saw Collette enter a building that was guarded by two elezens. We decided that we would head back, seeing how going after Collette now might put her in danger, even if not everyone agreed with this motion.

Hopefully the next time, we can have the support of Ishgard, and we will have less butting heads in our own guild.

Session 5

The group was at Howling Frostwork as they immediately were going towards Ishgard. It seems like the Temple Knights caught wind of the situation as they decided to take matters into their own hands, but not without the help of Frostwork.

It seems like the cult has made their move and started to attack dragons with strange looking weapons. They decided to attack two different places, the Central and Western Highlands. The Temple Knights went for the Western one, as Frostwork and Errix, the contact, went towards Central.

After taking a Chocobo cart to get closer, and continuing on foot, the fighting was already happening. Dragons fighting with cult members. The group quickly merged into the fighting and protected the dragons. Among the crowd, Collete was there, fighting with the cult. But it became clear quickly that she did not want to. She was being forced to fight.

The leader of the cult finally revealed his face. A unholy abomination that drank the blood of the things that he hates so. As his broken dragoon armor still rests upon his dragon like body now. Having dealt significant damage to Koji, he grabbed Collette and made a run for it. Frostwork has stopped the killing of dragons for now, but only the gods know what their next move will be...

Session 6

Today was the day where Frostwork was going to rescue Collette. With a lot of new faces the group marched out to Fallgourd Float to find the hidden base thanks to a tip from the Temple Knights.

The group went into a stealth mission to find the sister of Aralyn. After a very close encounter with the cult the group finally continued to only find a locked door with two sentries standing out there.

The party worked together to take down the robots and blast a hole in the wall to continue once more. As they reached the prison where Collette was held it was quickly learned that the room was booby trapped!

With another combined effort the traps were dismantled, and Collette was free once more. Averen had some explosives to send the entire hidden base down to the ground. But the cultist leader was nowhere to be found. But it won't be long before the fated encounter will happen...

Session 7

After a grueling battle, the clash of steel and fury finally fell silent. The cult leader lay defeated, brought low with the aid of Frostwork. Koji, Rhela, Vaia, Papa, Averen, Aralyn, and Collette had stood together against a terrible dragon, one driven by a single, consuming force: revenge.

When the beast at last was slain, the company parted ways, each returning to the paths that called them home.

Collette returned to her workshop, hands once more stained with oil and soot, tinkering with whatever caught her restless mind. In the quiet hum of gears and flame, she learned a truth hard-won through blood and fire: revenge is not always the answer, and forgiveness can exist, even toward those you have despised your entire life.

Aralyn returned to the orphanage she worked at, her steps light with dance once more. She, too, carried a lesson from the battle, that family is the greatest bond of all. Even when choices are painful, even when they wound, you stand beside those you love, no matter the cost.

The sisters emerged from the trial closer than ever before, their bond reforged in hardship and understanding. And so, as the echoes of the battle fade into memory, this tale draws to a close, one not of vengeance, but of healing, family, and the strength found in choosing another way.
